The Co mission agreed to this <br />request. <br /> <br />MATTERS TNTTJATFD BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />1. Commissioner Horan called stafrs attention to a grand openin sign at The Trophy Shop <br />on Main Street near the Community National Bank. He noted th t this business has been <br />there for a long time under the same name and questioned the leg 'ty of having a grand <br />opening sign at this point. Mr. Swift replied that this would be c ecked. <br /> <br />2. Commissioner Horan also called attention to a few businesses who still have small <br />Christmas lights in their windows and noted they are not coming own. He expressed <br />concern that this situation may increase as time goes on. It was oted that such lights are <br />technically supposed to come down by January 31. Some discu 'on ensued as to whether <br />the lights served a purpose at this time. Commissioner Michelo noted that she liked them <br />and felt that it helped light up the downtown area at night and m e it more attractive. <br /> <br />3. Chairman Mahern called staff's attention to the Pizza Hut n Coast Savings and noted <br />that all the pots and pans can be seen from the window nearest e driveway. She felt this <br />presented a poor view to the public. Mr. Swift replied they are . g one-half of the <br />building which is closest to the street; the matter will be checked out. <br /> <br />4. Chairman Mahern noted that the previous night in regard to e Ridge issue, Council had <br />stated that letters containing ballot arguments could be presented Council.
