~N ORDINANCE i~EGUL~TING TRAFFIC 0N, ~TD THE USE OF, STREETS OF TIE TOWN OF PLEASARTON, AD~D PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The Council of the Town of pleasanton do ordain as fol- lows: SECTION l: Words used in this Ordinance which are de- fined in the Vehicle Code of the State of California are used here- in in the manner and in the way they are defined in said Vehicle Code unless given a different meaning or definition herein. SECTION ~: Certain words shall for the purpose of this Ordinance Be defined as follows: (1) "Curb" is defined as the lateral physical boundary of a roadway or a street whether marked by curbing construction or not so marked. ~) "Streets" shall include all highways, public streets, alleys, avenues or parkways in the Town of pleasant on. (3) ,,Sidewalk" is defined as the area between the property line and the sctual edge of the curb of any street. (~) ,'person. shall include both natural persons and also firms and corporations. SECTION ~: It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle or ~O leave or permit any vehicle to stand on the westerly side of ~.~ain Street between the northerly limits of the Town of Pleasanton and the northerly line of Bernal Avenue, or on the easterly side of Main Street between the northerly limits of the Town of Pleasanton and the northerly line of Neal Street, or on the northerly or southerly side of Neal Street between the easterly line of Main Street and the right of way of the Southern Pacific Company, unless said vehicle is placed in such a position that a line drawn through the two right wheels of said vehicle shall form an angle of approximately forty-five (~) degrees, with the line of the curb adjacent thereto, and the right front wheel of such motor vehicle shall not be more than one foot from said curb. SECTION ~: It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle or ~0 leave or permit any vehicle to stand on the easter- ly side of Main Street between ~he southerly line of Neal Street and the northerly line of Abbey Street, unless said vehicle is placed in such a position that neither wheel on the right hand side of said vehicle is more than one foot distant from the curb on the side of the street where said vehicle is parked or left standing. SECTION ~: It shall be unlawfui for any person to park or leave st~'~g any automobile truck or other vehicle over twenty feet in length on the easterly side of Main Street between the northerly limits of the Town of pleasant on and t~e northerly line
