~_SECTIO N 1~: a violation of any of the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall also constitute grounds for the revocation of any <br />permit and license granted to operate and maintain an auto camp and <br />resort or an auto and trailer camp, and any such permit and license <br />so granted may be revoked for cause by the Council of the Town of <br />Pleasanton at any regular, adjourned regular, or special meeting of <br />the Council of the Town of Pleasanton. Before revoking any such per- <br />mit and license, however, notice shall be given to the holder of any <br />such permit and license of the time and place when the Council of the <br />Town of Pleasanton will revoke said permit and license and the holder <br />of said permit and license shall have the opportunity of being heard <br />and presenting evidence to show cause why his permit and license should <br />not be revoked. After any such hearing the Council of the Town of <br />Pleasanton may, if it finds that there are grounds for the revocation <br />of said permit and license, revoke said permit and license and the <br />holder thereof shall not thereafter be entitled to maintain and oper- <br />ate an auto camp and resort or an auto and trailer camp in the Town of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> ~SECTION 15: This ordinance is required for the immediate <br />preservation of the public health and safety and shall take effect im- <br />mediately. The ~llowing is the statement of facts constituting such <br />urgency. The United States Navy has commenced the establishment and <br />erection of a large Naval Recuperation and Replacement Center near the <br />Town of Pleasanton. The ~onstruction of said camp has brought to the <br />Town of Pleasanton and to the vicinity 'of the Town of pleasanton, an <br />unusually large number of people with automobile trailers, many of <br />which are locating in the Te~n of pleasanton, and it is necessary for <br />the preservation of the public health and safety of the inhabitants <br />of the Town of Pleasanton that auto camps and resorts and auto and <br />trailer camps be regulated immediately. <br /> <br /> SECTION 16: If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause <br />or phrase b'f' ~his ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitu- <br />tional such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br />portions of this ordinance. The Town Council hereby declares that it <br />would have passed this ordinance irrespective of the fact that any one <br />or-more sections, sub-sections, sentences, clauses or phrases be de- <br />clared unconst itut ional. <br /> <br /> SECTION 17: This ordinance shall be published once in ~The <br />Pleasanton'Times" and shall take effect immediately upon its final <br />passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED and read at a regular adjourned meeting of the <br /> <br />Council of the Town of Pleasan~.n held on the 14th day of December, <br />1942, by Councilman ~%~~,~.'~: i~ . <br /> PASSE AND ADOPTED at an adjourned regular meeting of the <br />Council of the Town of Pleasanton held on the · day of December, <br />1942, by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
