Approval for the number, type and locatio1 of fire hydrants <br />shall be subject to the approval of the ire Chief and the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />46. The applicant shall ensure that fire prot ction facilities, <br />including all surface roads, fire hydrants, and a water supply <br />capable of furnishing the required fi e flow shall be <br />installed and serviceable prior to and d ring the time of <br />construction. When alternate methods of protection are as <br />approved by the Fire Chief, this requireme t may be waived or <br />modified. Proposed alternative methods f fire protection <br />shall be submitted, in writing, to the Fi e Chief. Work on <br />the alternative fire protection methods shall not start <br />without the approval of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />47. <br /> <br />48. <br /> <br />49, <br /> <br />50. <br /> <br />51. <br /> <br />52. <br /> <br />All roads on the site are designated as fir apparatus access <br />roads by the Fire Chief and must be mainta'ned in accordance <br />with section 2.01 of the Uniform Fire Code and be accessible <br />at all times from the start of constructio until the project <br />is completed. Curbs must be painted red or "No Parking" signs <br />provided as required by the vehicle code. <br /> <br />The developer shall submit a refundable ca h bond for hazard <br />and erosion control prior to issuance of an Engineering or <br />Building Department permit. The amount of this bond will be <br />determined by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />The developer shall grant an easement to tte city over those <br />parcels needed for public service easements (P. S. E.) and which <br />are approved by the City Engineer or other asements which may <br />be designated by the City Engineer. <br />I <br /> <br />The design for the line, grade, and strucfural sections for <br />the streets serving this development shall e subject to final <br />review and approval by the city Engineer. <br /> <br />The applicant shall construct vertical rl p, C. C. curbs and <br />gutters within this development unless oth rwise approved by <br />the City Engineer. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />All existing wells on the site shall be emoved or sealed, <br />filled and abandoned pursuant to Alameda C unty Ordinance 73- <br />68, prior to the start of grading operat'ons unless Zone 7 <br />retains specific wells for observation ells, or special <br />approval is obtained from the City Enginee for temporary use <br />of an existing well for construction w ter.
