PC-93-S1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE P RMIT AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE UP-93-47, THE APPLICATION OF BARRY MO I AND ERIC NOSTRAND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Barry Mori and Eric Nostrand h ve applied for a <br />conditional use permit to establi h an approximately <br />3,570 square foot bar/alehouse and rill in the Hopyard <br />village Shopping Center located at 3015 Hopyard Road, <br />suites F, G, and H; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Planned Un' t Development (PUD) <br />- C (Commercial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hear'ng of September 8, <br />1993, the Planning Commission con idered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and re ommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this applicat'on; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the fo lowing findings: <br /> <br />A. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />is in accordance with the obje tives of the zoning <br />ordinance and the purpose of t e district in which <br />the site is located. <br /> <br />Objectives of the zoning rdinance include: <br />protecting existing land use from inharmonious <br />influences and harmful int us ions ; fostering <br />harmonious, convenient, wor able relationships <br />among land uses; and insuri g that public and <br />private lands ultimately are u ed for the purposes <br />which are most appropriate an beneficial to the <br />city as a whole. As condition d, the proposed bar <br />would be consistent with these Objectives. <br /> <br />The site of the proposed use is located in the <br />Hopyard Village shopping cent r, which permits a <br />variety of commercial and offi e uses. Bars are in <br />accordance with the purposes of the Commercial <br />zoning district to provide ocations to offer <br />commodities and services to the residents of <br />Pleasanton and surrounding a eas. The proposed <br />conditions of approval for t e project give the <br />City the appropriate controls to ensure that the <br />use does not have any negat' ve impacts on the <br />surrounding businesses and p operties. The use <br />permit for the bar is, there ore, in accordance <br />with the objectives of the zon'ng district. <br />
