AN ORDINANCE {FF THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, ENLARGEB~ENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THIN ELEOTRIC WIRING ~ APPARATUS IN THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON; PROVIDI~ FOR AND CREATING THE OFFICE OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR FOR THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON, AND PRE- SCRIBING HIS DUTIES; ~R0VIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES TP~F~B; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLA- TION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The Council of the Town of PleasenOch do ordain aa follows: SECT.ION 1: That a certain ~ocument, three copies of which are on file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton, being marked and deslgnate~ as "1940 National Electrical Code, S~andards of She National Boar~ of Fire Underwriters for Electric Wiring and Ap- paratus, as recommende~ by the National Fire Prutection Association, American Standar~ Approve~ August 7, 1940, by American Standards As- sociation," be and the same is hereby a~opted as the electrical code of the Town of PleasenOch for the regulation of the erection, con- struckion, installation, enlargement, alteration, repair, use and maintenance of the electric ~W~i~.~ and apparatus in the Town of Pleasan- ton; prov~ing for the issuance of permits an~ collection of fees there- for, and providing penalties for ~he violation thereof, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of such "1940 National Elec~rical Code," on file in the office of the Town Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance. SECTION .~: The office of Electrical Inspector in and for the Town of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California, is here- by create~. The _~lectrical Inspector shall be appointed by the Council of the Town of Pleasan~on, shall hold office a~ ~he pleasure of said Council of the Town of Pleasanton, and shall receiv~scompensation for his services as such inspector, the fees heroinafter provided. ~SEOTI0~ 3: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation ~o do or install any electrical wiring, e~uipment, al~- ~~iance~ and electrical work coming within the provisions and regula- tions of this ordinance and ~he National Electrical Co~e adopte~ here- by, without first applying for and obtaining a permit from ~he Elec-
