That the proposed use will be civic center character of District. compatible with the the civic Overlay The civic center area can be characterized by its mix of commercial, office and residential uses. In addition to the City's Library and administrative offices, the civic center area currently contains two residences, various retail stores, offices, restaurants and other service establishments. The proposed use would be compatible with these uses in that it would provide a professionally-staffed service establishment. WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the proposed conditional use is compatible with the surrounding neighborhood and will not detrimentally affect the surrounding uses or properties. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: section 1. Approves Case UP-92-51, the application of Deborah Bosse, Bernadine Rago, and Veronica Krell for a conditional use permit to establish a therapeutic massage studio located at 239 Main street, subject to the conditions shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
