<br />PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-92-75 <br /> <br />RESOLUTXON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE PUD-92-06, THE <br />APPLICATXON OF JOSEPH E. MADDEN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Joseph E. Madden has applied for planned unit development <br />development plan approval to construct a commercial <br />service development consisting of a four-building plan <br />totalling 47,500 sq. ft. or a five-building plan <br />totalling 52,500 sq. ft. located on Stanley Boulevard <br />between Valley Avenue and California Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />- commercial District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of August 26, 1992, <br />the Planning Commission, after considering all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this proposal, recommended approval <br />of the proposed negative declaration for Case PUD-92-06; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission makes the following findings: <br /> <br />1. The plan is in the best interests of the pUblic <br />health, safety, and general welfare: <br /> <br />Adequate storm drain, sani tary sewer, and water <br />service facilities are present to serve the site. <br />The applicant will install all required on-site <br />utilities with connections to municipal systems in <br />order to serve the site. street improvements would <br />be constructed on a portion of Stanley Boulevard to <br />facilitate the free flow of traffic. Separate <br />vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle facilities would <br />be provided on Stanley Boulevard for maximum <br />traffic safety. Parking must be controlled through <br />uses so that users of the site do not park <br />illegally or on adjacent residential streets. <br /> <br />2. The plan is consistent with the City's General <br />Plan: <br /> <br />The proposed service commercial plan conforms to <br />the current "Retail, Highway, and Service <br />commercial/Business and Professional Offices" Land <br />Use Element designation for the project site. <br />Therefore, the proposed development plan is <br />consistent with the current General Plan Land Use <br />designations for this site. <br /> <br />,r <br />
