CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05-025 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF <br /> FEDERAL AND CITY FUNDS RELATIVE TO THE <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) <br /> AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) <br /> PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005 (2005/06) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Parmership <br /> Program (HOME) funds are distributed to metropolitan cities, urban counties, <br /> states, and consortia of local governments by the Department of Housing and <br /> Urban Development (HUD); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD encourages jurisdictions to plan for the use of federal funds in three-year <br /> program cycles for the purposes of planning and implementation of housing and <br /> community development programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a HUD Entitlement City and will be submitting a five- <br /> year Consolidated Plan and annual Action Plan with projects for CDBG funding <br /> for Fiscal Year 2005; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a participating jurisdiction under the Alameda County <br /> HOME Consortium and receives an annual formula allocation of federal funds <br /> from the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) to enable certain <br /> housing projects and activities which benefit low income persons; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the use of City Lower Income Housing Funds to <br /> supplement CDBG funds is an appropriate use under certain conditions as listed in <br /> Resolution No. 94-80 adopted in July 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 19, 2005, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br /> Deputy City Manager (SR:05:103) regarding the proposed CDBG and HOME <br /> program funding allocation for Fiscal Year 2005; <br /> <br /> <br />
