delinquent assessment list, opposite the tax, and he shall be <br /> credited with the amount thereof in his settlement made with the <br /> Clerk; provided that on the day of sale the owner or person in <br /> possession of any property offered for sale for taxes due thereon, <br /> may pay taxes, penalties and costs due; and provided further, that <br /> the Town of Pleasanton may bring suit against the owner of said <br /> property, for the collection of said tax or taxes, penalties and <br /> co st s. <br /> <br />Section 51. The Tax Collector shall make out in duplicate a <br />certificate of delinqnent tax sale for each piece or tract of <br />land sold, dated on the day of the sale, stating (if known) the <br />name of the person assessed, a description of the land sold, that <br />it was sold for delinquent taxes to the Town of Pleasanton, and <br />giving the amount and year of the assessment, ~and specifying when <br />the Town of Pleasanton will be entitled to a deed. Such certifi- <br />cates must be signed by the Tax Collector, and one copy shall be <br />filed in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Alameda, <br />State of California; the other copy shall be entered in a book <br />provided for that purpose and kept in the office of the Tax Collector. <br />Section 32. A redemption of the property sold may be made by the <br />ovmer, or any party in interest, within five years from the date <br />of the sale, to the Town of Pleasanton, or at any time prior to the <br />entry or sale of said property by the Town of Pleasanton. Redemption <br />must be made to the Town Treasurer upon an estimate furnished by <br />the Clerk in lawful money of the United States, and the Treasurer <br />shall account to the Town for all moneys received under such <br />redemption, which said money shall be distributed to the proper <br />funds in accordance with the regular tax levy. <br /> <br /> <br />
