are a lien, will be sold to the Town of ~leasanton. The publica- <br />tions shall be made once a week, for three successive weeks, in <br />some newspaper of gensral circulation printed and published in the <br />Town, and shall designate the time and the place of sale, which <br />time shall not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than twenty- <br />eight (28) days from and after the first publication and the place <br />shall be in the Tax Collector's office in the Town; provided, that <br />if there be no newspaper of general circulation printed and published <br />in said Town, such publication shall be given and made by posting <br />copies of said list and notice in at least three public places in <br />the Town of Pleasanton and keeping the same so posted for a period <br />of three successive weeks and by publication in some newspaper of <br />general circulation printed and published in the County of Alameda <br />once a week for three successive weeks. <br /> <br />Section 28. The Tax Collector shall, as soon as he shall have <br />made and completed the publication aforesaid, file with the Town <br />Clerk a copy of the publication with an affidavit attached thereto, <br />that it is a true copy of the same, and that the publication was <br />made in a newspaper, stating its name and place of publication and <br />the date of each appearance and stating the time and the place of <br />posting, and such affidavit shall be primary evidence of all of <br />the facts stated therein. <br /> <br />Section 29. The Tax Collector shall collect in addition to the <br />taxes due on all the delinquent list, fifty cents, as costs of sale, <br />on each lot, piece, or tract of land separately assessed, and on <br />each assessment of personal property, which money shall be paid <br />into the General Fund of the Town. <br /> <br />Section 30. On the day and hour fixed for the sale, all the <br />property delinquent, upon which the taxes of all kinds, penalties <br />and costs have not been paid, shall, by operation of law and the <br />declaration of the Tax Collector, be sold to the Town of Pleasanton, <br />and the Tax Collector shall make an entry, "Sold to the Town" on the <br /> <br /> <br />
