AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIN(~ A SYSTEM <br /> FOR THE ASSESSMEET, LEYY AND <br /> COLLeCTiON oF TOW .. <br /> <br /> The Town Council of the Tow~ of Pleasanton do ordain <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />~ect!on 1: The office of Assessor is hereby created in and for <br />the Town of Pleasanton and the Clerk of the Town of PleasanOn <br />is hereby made and constituted Ex-officio the Assessor of the <br />Town of Pleasanton, and is hereby invested with all the powers <br />and shall perform all the duties of the office of Assessor which <br />are vested in and/or imposed upon the office of Assessor of the <br />Town of Pleasanton by laws aml statutes of the State of California <br />and ordinances of the Town of Pleasanton which are now in force <br />or may hereafter be enacted, and by the provisions of this <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Seo. t.~on 2.. The office of Tax Collector is hereby created in and <br />for the Town of Pleasanton, and the Chief of Police of the Town of <br />Pleasanton is hereby made and constituted El-officio the Tax <br />Collector of the Town of Pleasanton, and is hereby invested with all <br />the powers and shall perform all the duties of the office of Tax <br />Collector, which are vested in or imposed upon the office of Tax <br />Collector of the Town of Pleasanton by laws and statutes of the Sta~ e <br />of California and ordinances of the Town of Pleasanton which are <br />now in force or may be hereafter enacted, and by the provisions of <br />this ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 3.. All taxable property, with the exception only of all <br />notes, debentures, shares of capital stocks bonds, solvent credits, <br />deeds of trust, mortgages and any legal or equitable interest therein <br />of the classes taxable under the provisions of Section 16 of Article <br />13 of the Constitution of this State, must be assessed at its full <br /> <br /> <br />
