<br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES for
<br /> BERNAL COMMUNITY PARK - PHASE ONE SPORTS FIELDS

<br />Scope of Services dated this 15th day of April 2005, submitted to the City of Pleasanton (Client) by M. D. Fotheringham,
<br />Landscape Architects, Inc. (Consultan0, to provide consultant services for the Bemal Community Park, Phase One Sports Fields
<br />(Project).
<br />
<br />This Scope is comprised of providing Pre-design, Preliminary Design, Design Development and Construction Documentation,
<br />submittals and other professional services as required for a 13-acrea: portion of the Bernal Community Park, in collaboration with
<br />the Pleasanton Parks and Community Services Department, City Council and City commissions and committees. This Scope of
<br />Services for design, construction and bid documents for the Phase One Sports Fields is based on the Concept Design - Scenario #1
<br />Revised and approved by City Council on January 4, 2005, and the Planned Unit Development (PUD) Application that has been
<br />submitted to the City. This Project will be designed in accordance with the Unified Concept Plan for the 50-acre Bernal
<br />Community Park, various cultivated stream projects that are concurrently being designed, the Phase II Specific Plan for the entire
<br />318-acre Bernal Property, and City of Pleasanton Standard Specifications and Details.

<br />As a Planned Unit Development (PUD) review process is also required for this Phase of the 50-acre Bernal Community Park, the
<br />required services and products to assist this process am included in this Exhibit 'A'. A Phase Two PUD application for the
<br />remaining 37± acres of the Bernal Commumty Park will be submiOed in the future and is not included in this Scope of Services.

<br />I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION, APPROACH AND ASSUMPTIONS
<br />
<br /> Description: This Project will address the following park and open space improvements as depicted in the Phase One,
<br /> Bemal Community Park Unified Concept Plan, Scenario 1 Diagram and Cost Analysis, dawd 12/21/04, and the PUD
<br /> Submittal, dated 4/20/05:
<br />
<br /> A. Baseball Complex Area: baseball diamonds #5, #6 and//7, lighting for two diamonds, backstops and
<br /> dugouts, built-in terrace bleacher seating, portions of pedestrian plaza, portions of irrigated tuff, portions of
<br /> path lighting. Amhitectural design development will be provided for the future mstrooms, concessions,
<br /> announcer's booth, storage and shade arcades for fields g4, #5 and//6. Items not included at this time but
<br /> may be added: electrical score board, construction documentation for baseball plaza architecture.
<br />
<br /> B. Bernal Community Park improvements, including: architectural design and construction documentation for
<br /> small restroom facility and equipment storage building ( 1,000-a: square fee0, play area with two separate
<br /> equipment clusters, accessible concrete walk system from parking lot to the mstroom, fields and play area,
<br /> perimeter landscape and tree planting.
<br />
<br /> C. Parking Lots and Buffer Areas, including: paved parking lot for a minimum of 64 cars, one dumpster
<br /> enclosure, and lighting. Curbs and gutters may be designated as "Add Alternate" bid items.
<br />
<br /> D. Parking Access Road and Buffer Areas, including: paved travel lanes, street lighting, sewer, water and
<br /> storm drainage infrastructure sized to accommodate future phases bnild-out. Curbs and gutless, and street
<br /> frontage landscape may be designated as "Add Alternate" hid items.
<br />
<br /> E. Approach Road, including: ±1,200 linear feet of paved roadway, street lighting, sewer, water and storm
<br /> drainage infrastructure sized to accommodate full build-out of Community Park as depic~xl in Unified
<br /> Landscape Architecture Planning Urban Design
