THE CITY OF <br /> <br /> City Council <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> May 3, 2005 <br /> Parks and Community Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH MD <br /> FOTHERINGHAM LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS FOR THE DESIGN <br /> OF BERNAL COMMUNITY PARK - PHASE I SPORTS FIELDS, <br /> PROJECT NO. 007065 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> That the City Council take the following actions at its meeting of May 3, <br /> 2005: <br /> <br /> 1. Approve the consultant contract with the firm of MD Fotheringham <br /> Landscape Architects, Inc., to provide design and construction period <br /> support services for the subject project. <br /> <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached Agreement. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: Staff has successfully negotiated an agreement with the firm of MD <br /> Fotheringham Landscape Architects of San Francisco to prepare complete <br /> construction documents for the referenced project. Under the terms of this <br /> agreement, the consultant would begin design development work <br /> immediately, in order to allow construction of the first phase of Bernal <br /> Community Park to begin in the spring of 2006. The total contract cost for <br /> design drawings, construction observation services, and reimbursable <br /> expenses is not to exceed $467,650.
