to Canine Uno and Officer Fontillas. We have been quoted a price of $331 per year for the first <br />two years of coverage and $404 for the third year. Traditionally, police service canines only live <br />two or three years after retirement. <br /> <br />Officer Fontillas will pay one dollar for Uno and thus assume all responsibility and liability for <br />the animal except for the veterinary insurance policy paid for by the city. Officer Fontillas will <br />be responsible for all existing medical problems and the deductible amounts on procedures <br />covered by the insurance policy. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The fiscal impact associated with the recommendations ranges from $331 to $404 per year <br />throughout the life expectancy of the canine.
