<br />The heiaht of the aerial/antenna/tower shall be based on a <br />visual analvsis demonstratina that views of the <br />aerial/antenna/tower are minimized or are substantiallY <br />screened from residential land uses. or other sensitive land <br />uses such as Darks. schools. or maior streets. and on an <br />enaineerina analysis ;ustifvina the heiaht of the DroDosed <br />aerial/antenna/tower. <br /> <br />Anv Darabolic dish mounted on the aerial/antenna/tower shall <br />be less than two feet in diameter. The base of the <br />aerial/antenna/tower and any switchina facility located at <br />the base that is visible to the Dublic shall be <br />architectural Iv treated and/or screened from view utilizina <br />on- and/or off-site veaetation or other aDDroved screenina <br />mechanism. <br /> <br />~ Wire-carrvina Dower distribution Doles and transmission <br />towers and communication Doles located in anv zonina <br />district shall not be subiect to the heiaht limits <br />Drescribed in the district reaulations. <br /> <br />Proposed Amendments to <br />Section 18.112.020, Nonresidential District standards, <br />of the Pleasanton Municipal code <br /> <br />No exterior satellite earth station or microwave dish having a <br />dimension greater than two feet in diameter shall be allowed in <br />any nonresidential district unless it complies with the <br />requirements of this section. For the purposes of this section, <br />"satellite earth station" means a parabolic dish antenna designed <br />for the transmission and/or receiving of signals from a satellite <br />and used for enhanced radio, television reception and/or <br />telecommunication uses: "microwave dish" means a Darabolic dish <br />or open antenna desianed for the transmission and/or receivina of <br />microwave sianals for enhanced telecommunication uses. <br /> <br />A. Design review beara approval Der ChaDter 18.20 of this title <br />is required for any proposed satellite earth station ~ <br />microwave dish greater than two feet in diameter. <br /> <br />B. All satellite earth stations and microwave dish antennas <br />shall be located on the roof of a structure whenever <br />possible, providing the antenna or dish is not visible from <br />public roadways or can.be adequately screened from view of a <br />public roadway. All satellite earth stations and microwave <br />dish antennas that cannot be installed on the roof in a <br />manner that is not visible to a public roadway shall be <br />located directly adjacent to an existing building, whenever <br />possible. <br /> <br />. <br />
