Resolution No. PC-93-14
Page 2

B. That the proposed location of the conditional use
and the conditions under which it would be operated
or maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious
to the properties or improvements in the vicinity.

Automobile-related uses are common within stanley
Business Park. As conditioned, the operation of
the taxicab dispatch station would not be
detrimental to the public health, safety, or
welfare. The minor servicing of the taxicabs would
be conducted within an enclosed building, SUbject
to the regulations of the city's Hazardous
Materials storage Ordinance. with conditions
regulating the applicant's vehicle numbers,
parking, and outdoor uses, the proposed use can be
accommodated without adverse impacts on the other
uses in the general vicinity. The applicant can
also be required to mitigate future nuisances as a
result of the proposed use.

C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with
each of the applicable provisions of the zoning
ordinance.

Chapter 18.124 of the Municipal Code (Conditional
Uses) states that, because of their unusual
characteristics, conditional uses require special
consideration so that they may be located properly
with respect to their effects on surrounding
properties. The applicant's proposed business
operation and staff's proposed conditions of
approval can integrate the proposed use without
detrimentally affecting the surrounding properties
or the city in general. The proposed use will also
comply with all provisions and requirements of the
City's zoning ordinance.

WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the
requirements of the california Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA); and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed
conditional use, as conditioned, is appropriate for the
site.

.. ."

.
