sanitation: sewage co11ection

Impact: potential problem in downstream sewer collection capacity

The City finds that the existing sewer pump station in the adjacent
carriage Gardens subdivision may b~ inadequate to handle the
additional effluent loading by the project. This is a potential
significant impact (Draft EIR, page 7-6).

proposed Mitigation Measure of the EIR

The EIR identified the following mitigation measure which would
sUbstantially avoid this impact.

7-7 Ensure adequate sewer collection capacity (Draft EIR, page
7-7). Said mitigation measure was considered and adopted with
any pertinent changes in Condition 7-6, Exhibit "B" of the
planning commission staff report dated May 27, 1992.

Finding: Mitigation Measure 7-7 Feasible and Required

The city finds that it is feasible to mitigate this impact to a
less-than-significant level by requiring the applicant and
successors in interest to install a new pump facility to serve the
project and contribute an equitable share to the cost of any long-
term pump capacity upgrade.

2.6 Geology, Soils, Grading and Drainage
Unstable Slopes, Landslides and Slope creep

Impact: structural damage by future slope movement

The city finds that project structures could be damaged by future
slope movement where structures are constructed on or near existing
land slide deposits. This is a potential significant impact (Draft
EIR, page 8-11).

proposed Mitigation Measures of the EIR

The EIR identified the following mitigation measures which would
substantially avoid this geotechnical impact.

8-1 Conduct slope stability analyses (Draft EIR, page 8-11). Said
mitigation measure was considered and adopted with any
pertinent changes in condition 8-1, Exhibit "B" of the
planning commission staff report dated May 27, 1992.

8-2 Provide detailed slope stabilization program (Draft EIR, page
8-11). Said mitigation measure was considered and adopted
with any pertinent changes in Condition 8-2, Exhibit "B" of
the Planning commission staff report dated May 27, 1992.

16

II

I I
