measures requiring residential
wildland fire management plan
address issues of fire safety.

fire sprinklers, a
etc. adequately

with the information provided to date, it appears
that the landslide buttress plan can meet the
city's "acceptable risk" policies. Conditions and
mitigation measures require further, detailed
studies to ascertain the extent of landslide repair
measures. These studies and repair plans will be
reviewed by the City to determine whether measures
adequately meet public safety goals.

7. The plan conforms to the purposes of the PUD
District:

The plan proposes a unique approach to the
development of a topographically constrained and
recognizably scenic site. with the implementation
of recommended mitigation measures and conditions
of approval, the plan would result in a project
which meets the desires of the community and the
policies of the General Plan. Through the project
design guidelines as conditioned, the City can
assure that the scenic qualities of the site are
maintained, while a unique housing opportunity is
created. The plan also accomplishes the
preservation of open space areas, and maintains the
topographical integrity of a hillside site.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:

section 1. Recommends approval of the application of Currin
construction Company for approval of a development plan
for a site located at 8015 Foothill Road, requiring the
proj ect to be no more then 54 lots and redesigned to
conform more closely t the WFRCOD guidelines, subject to
the conditions shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
made part of this case by reference.

section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and adoption.

PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANTON ON THE 20TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1992 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:

AYES:
NOES:
ABSENT:
ABSTAIN:

Commissioners Michelotti, Wright, and Chairman Mahern
commissioner Horan and McGuirk
Commissioner Hovingh
None

DATE:

February 20, 1992
