<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-95-98 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF PLEASANTON TRUCK AND <br />EQUIPMENT REPAIR INC. FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND DESIGN <br />REVIEW TO OPERATE A TRUCK AND CONT A1NER STORAGE YARD AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE UP-95-66/Z-95-253 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton Truck and Equipment has applied for a conditional use permit and <br />design review approval to operate a truck and container storage yard located at <br />3202 Busch Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is I-G-40,000 (General Industrial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly notice public hearing of December 13, 1995, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br /> <br />A. The proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the <br />objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purpose of the district in which <br />the site is located. <br /> <br />The subject site is located in a General Industrial zoning district. <br />Industrial zoning districts are intended to protect residential areas from <br />negative effects and hazards incidental to certain industrial uses. There are <br />not residential units in the general vicinity, and the proposed use is similar <br />to the surrounding existing industrial uses. As conditioned,. the proposed <br />use is in keeping with the purposes of the General Industrial District. <br /> <br />B. The proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under <br />which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the <br />public heath, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties or <br />improvements in the vicinity. <br /> <br />With the recommended conditions addressing the surfacing of the lot, the <br />uses allowed on the site, and screening of the yard, the use can be <br />accommodated without adverse impacts on the other uses in the general <br />vicinity . <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />II; . <br /> <br />. <br />
