Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br />Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities <br /> <br />Provide information about your program's meal delivery service in the table below, <br />including funding allocations in the current fiscal year and next year (claim year), the <br />length (in years) that you have used Measure B funds for meal delivery, and how you <br />plan to fund your program if faced with revenue shortfalls. <br /> <br />Measure B Fundin for Meal D~ <br />Estimated Measure B Funding for Meal Delivery Service - next fiscal <br />year <br /> <br />Describe your driver training program. <br /> <br />Monthly staff meetings are held and include all paratransit staff (dispatchers, drivers and <br />office assistant). As part of these meetings, on-going training opportunites are scheduled. <br />Training topics includ: communication skills development workshop, review of daily <br />inspection procedures, review of wheelchair tie down procedures, CPR and 1st aid <br />certification, update on senior support programs, review of the City ofPleasanton S~nior <br />Scholarship Program, and disability awareness training. <br /> <br />On-going outside service agency staff, such as Senior Support Programs of the Th-Valley <br />and Spectnun Home Delivered/Congregate Meals Program, also provide updates on the <br />services available to clients. <br /> <br />Describe your policies concerning timely pick ups or drop offs, including what window is <br />allowed, if there is a standard for the percentage of pick ups or drop offs that must occur <br />within the window, the policy concerning early pick ups, and whether there is a <br />maximum amount of lateness after which a provider no-show or missed thp is counted. <br /> <br />On-time performance standards were developed using ADA guidelines and focus on a <br />pick-up window of 15 +/- minutes of stated times. The PPS Task Force standard is that <br />90% of all pick-ups shall occur within that 15 minute (+/-) window. <br /> <br />A completely missed trip shall be noted as a pick-up made more that one (1) hour late. <br />PPS standard is not more than 24 missed trips per year. <br /> <br /> Page 5 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
