AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> 1. Veterans Organizations of Pleasanton (VOP). <br /> <br /> The VOP shall be composed of the Veterans' associations, as defined in California <br /> Military and Veterans Code section 1260, currently using the Facility: American <br /> Legion Post 237, VFW Post 6298, and VFW Post 6298 Ladies' Auxiliary. In the <br /> future, if any other Veterans' association intends to be active in matters related to the <br /> Facility, that association shall seek approval from the VOP. Any changes to the <br /> membership comprising the VOP must be submitted to the designated City Liaison <br /> in writing. <br /> <br />2. Veterans Building Committee. <br /> <br /> The VOP shall form a Veterans Building Committee ("Committee"). <br /> <br /> A. Membership of the Committee <br /> <br /> The Committee shall be comprised of the Commander and Auxiliary President, and <br /> appointed alternates, from each of the represented Veterans organizations. Within 30 <br /> days after the effective date of this Agreement, the VOP shall provide the City the <br /> name, address, and phone number of the Committee members. Annually, the VOP <br /> will provide the City with a revised list of Committee members after the election of <br /> new officers in each of the represented Veterans associations. The City <br /> representative shall be the Director of Parks and Community Services, or their <br /> designee, who will act as a liaison between the City and the Committee ("City <br /> Liaison"). <br /> <br /> B. Committee Chairperson <br /> <br /> At the first regular meeting of the Committee, the Committee shall elect a <br /> Chairperson. The Chairperson shall: <br /> <br /> · Preside at all meetings; <br /> · Appoint Committee members, as needed, to serve on sub-committees and/or ad <br /> hoc committees; <br /> · Call special meetings; <br /> · Serve as primary contact with the City Liaison. <br /> <br /> Joint Agreement <br /> Veterans Memorial Building at 301 Mahn Street <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
