<br />.. <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-95-20 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />the parking lot are pressure washed, debris must be <br />trapped and collected to prevent entry into the storm <br />drain system. No cleaning agent may be discharged to the <br />storm drain. If any cleaning agent or degreaser is used, <br />wash water shall be collected and discharged to the <br />sanitary sewer, subject to the approval of DSRSD. <br /> <br />c. All on-site storm drains shall be cleaned at least twice <br />a year, once immediately prior to the rainy season <br />(October 15) and once in January. <br /> <br />d. Construction site clean-up and control of construction <br />debris shall be addressed in the plan. Measures to be <br />followed include gathering construction debris and <br />placing it in a dumpster or container on a regular basis, <br />creating a contained and covered area on the site for the <br />storage of materials such as cement and paint which have <br />the potential for being discharged into the storm drain <br />system by wind or spillage, and ensuring that cement <br />trucks, painters, or stucco/ plaster finishing <br />contractors do not discharge wash water from equipment, <br />tools or rinse containers into street gutters or drains. <br />street storm drain inlets shall be protected from <br />contaminated run-off during construction as required by <br />the City Engineer. <br /> <br />e. On-site storm drainage inlets shall be stenciled with <br />wording to indicate that no dumping of pollutants is <br />allowed ("No Dumping -- Drains to Bay.") <br /> <br />f. Trash enclosure areas shall be completely covered. An <br />area drain shall be installed in the enclosure which <br />connects to the sanitary sewer. A structural control <br />such as an oil/water separator or sand filter shall be <br />provided. No other area shall drain into the trash <br />enclosure; a berm shall be installed to prevent such <br />drainage if found necessary by the City Engineer <br />/Director of Building Inspection. <br /> <br />g. The applicant shall install structural control, such as <br />an oil/water separator, in the parking lot to intercept <br />and pretreat storm water prior to reaching the storm <br />drain. The design, locations, and schedule for <br />maintaining the separators shall be submitted to the city <br />Engineer/Director of Building Inspection for review and <br />approval prior to issuance of building permits. The <br />structural control shall be cleaned at least twice a <br />year: once immediately prior to October l5 and once in <br />January; additional cleaning shall be performed if <br />necessary to keep the separator functioning properly. <br />
