MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

Commissioner Wright inquired why the Best parking lot is laid out with the handicapped
parking spaces in front of a sports equipment store. Mr. Iserson doesn't feel this was
intentional, and Best Plaza will be submitting parking lot plans to move some of the
handicapped parking and provide some 20-minute spaces in front of the stores.

Commissioner Barker inquired what the City can do about weed abatement on vacant lots.
Mr. Iserson feels that lot maintenance is a code enforcement issue, and weed abatement is a
Fire Department issue.

Commissioner McGuirk inquired if anything new has developed for the Knuppe parcel at
Foothill and Stoneridge. Mr. Iserson advised that the Knuppes have inquired about some
type of senior housing. Regarding the liquor store in the Lucky Shopping Center, Mr.
Iserson looked at the timeline and discovered that the store's lease doesn't expire until
April 1996.

A discussion ensued with Commissioner Dove and the Assisted/Congregate Care facilities
and what, if anything, is being done for the handicapped in all the two-story developments.

8.
