7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

Commissioner Wright advised that intersection of the 680 northbound Bernal exit for traffic
turning left (westbound) is so over-grown with weeds that it is difficult to see on-coming traffic.
Mr. Higdon believes it is the responsibility of CalTrans, and he will look into the matter.

Commissioner Hovingh advised that someone is putting signs at Main and Angela advertising
the sale of golf balls. He would like to see them removed.

Commissioner McGuirk inquired of staff what jurisdiction the City has regarding overnight
parking of trailers and motorhomes on school construction sites. Mr. Beougher advised staff
has no control over this situation. He advised Commissioner McGuirk to relay his concern to
the School District.

Commissioner Dove inquired if the City can get the railroad tracks out from behind the railroad
station since they have not complied with conditions. Mr. Iserson noted staff is trying to work
with the Railroad Association to keep the site better looking and not have construction materials
stored there. The County is also trying to bring some resolution.

8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW

8a. Future Planninl! Calendar
In response to Commissioner Hovingh, staff advised that the Presley application for 39
residential lots will be accessed by the extension of Stoneridge drive.

Bb. Actions of the Citv Council
There were none.

Be. Actions of the Zoninl! Administrator
Regarding the poled-mounted flags at 2500 Santa Rita Road, Mr. Iserson stated they are 12 feet
high with flags mounted on each side of the entrance. He feels they are rather innocuous. He
also feels this will not be a precedence setting item. Since the property has no frontage on Santa
Rita, staff feels the monument sign and flag poles are not excessive.

9. COMMUNICATIONS
There were none.

10. REFERRALS
There were none.

11.
