General <br />discussion revolved around the intent of the meeting and who was involved. Commissioner <br />Dove advised the Commissioners of the dates of the General Plan Steering Committee's final <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lutz would like the Commissioners to recollect what happened when the <br />School Board was last at the Planning Commission. The Commission voted unanimously to <br />not change the zoning because the School District had an option from a church to purchase <br />the parcel which would fall within the current zoning. The scenario has since changed and <br />has not been brought back before the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dove noted that he dropped in at the Lai Lai Restaurant to see if the owner's <br />concerns had been addressed. The owner was very surprised by Commissioner Dove's visit, <br />and he did say his business had improved. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright stated the Chevron station at Owens and Hopyard has gasoline advertising <br />signs every six feet around the station. <br /> <br />Page 13 <br /> <br />May 24, 1995 <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />
