 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. GHAD-04-010 <br /> <br /> AS BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF LAUREL CREEK ESTATES <br /> GEOLOGIC }lAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICT <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO TIlE <br /> LAUREL CREEK ESTATES GEOLOGIC }lAZARD ABATEMENT <br /> DISTRICT (GHAD) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 18, 1994, pursuant to Section 26550 of the Public Resources Code, the <br /> City Council adopted Resolution No. 94-118A, declaring that the Council is <br /> subject to the provisions of Division 17 (§26500 et seq.) of said Code, and <br /> forwarded a copy of said Resolution to the State Controller; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Division 17 of said Code, a petition was filed <br /> with the City Clerk, dated October 13, 1997, for the formation of a geologic <br /> hazard abatement district ("GHAD") for the Laurel Creek Estates project area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 18, 1997, the GHAD for the Laurel Creek Estates project area was <br /> formed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Division 17, a petition was filed with the City, <br /> dated June 4, 2004, to annex certain territory to the Laurel Creek Estates GHAD; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said petition complies with the provisions of Public Resources Code §26522 and <br /> has attached to it a legal description of the boundaries of the territory to be <br /> annexed to the GHAD (Exhibit "A"), a map showing the boundaries of the <br /> territory to be annexed to the GHAD (Exhibit "B") and a plan of control (Exhibit <br /> "C"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk reviewed said petition and verified that it was complete, timely, and <br /> met all statutory requirements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Directors on June 15, 2004 set the public hearing on the petition as <br /> July 20, 2004 at 6:55 p.m. at the City Council Chambers at 200 Old Bernal <br /> Avenue, Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> <br />
