<br />32. Dust and mud shall be contained within the boundaries of the property during times of <br />construction. <br /> <br />33. No construction materials shall be stored within the public right-of-way. <br /> <br />34. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that no debris or construction scrap material is <br />placed on any adjoining lot, open space area, or street, and that any such material stored <br />on the site shall be completely removed and the site cleaned prior to occupancy. <br /> <br />35. All excess soil from the site shall be off-hauled from the site and disposed of in a lawful <br />manner. No stockpiling of dirt on this or other sites within the development shall occur <br />without specific review and approval by the Planning Department. <br /> <br />36. The haul route for all materials to and from this development, including the off-hauled <br />soil, shall be approved by the City Engineer prior to the issuance of an encroachment <br />permit. <br /> <br />Best Management Practices <br /> <br />37. The applicant shall submit a construction Best Management Practice (BMP) program for <br />review and approval by the Planning Director prior to issuance of any building and/or <br />grading permits. These BMPs shall be implemented by the general contractor and all <br />subcontractors and suppliers of materials and equipment. Construction site clean-up and <br />control of construction debris also shall be addressed in this program. Failure to comply <br />with the approved construction BMP may result in the issuance of correction notices, <br />citations, or a project stop work order. <br /> <br />38. The applicant is responsible for implementing the following measures during all <br />construction phases of the subject project: <br /> <br />a. Gather all construction debris on a regular basis and place it in a dumpster or other <br />container which is emptied or removed on a weekly basis. When appropriate, use <br />tarps on the ground to collect fallen debris or splatters that could contribute to storm <br />water pollution. <br /> <br />b. Remove all dirt, gravel, rubbish, refuse, and green waste from the street pavement, <br />and storm drains adjoining the project site. During wet weather avoid driving <br />vehicles off paved areas and avoid other work in unpaved areas when possible. <br /> <br />c. Broom sweep the public/private street pavement adjoining the project site on a daily <br />basis. Caked-on mud or dirt shall be scraped from these areas before sweeping. <br /> <br />d. Install filter materials (such as sandbags, filter fabric, etc.) at the storm drain inlet <br />nearest the downstream side of the project site in order to retain any debris or dirt <br />flowing into the City storm drain system.
