Side yards and rear yards in the residential zone shall be not less than five (5) feet in depth. Front yards in the residential zone shall not be less than fifteen (15) feet in depth measured at right angles from the street lines to the closest portion of any building or structure; provided however that front yards in areas in the residential zone subdivided from land annexed to the City after the adoption of this Ordinance No. 260 shall be not less than twenty (20) feet in depth measured at right angles from the street lines to the closest portion of any building or structure. Lot areas in the residential zone shall be so dimen- stoned as to contain not less than five thousand (5,000) square feet for each principal building thereon, except that lot areas in the residential zone subdivided from land annexed to the City after the adoption of this Ordinance No. 260 shall contain not less than_ six thousand (6,000) e square feet for each principal building thereon.
