Ms. Nerland requested clarification of Commissioner Fox's addition and inquired <br />whether she meant that the City should physically maintain historic buildings. <br />Commissioner Fox advised that the City should not take responsibility for maintaining <br />the historic buildings but that residents appreciate the historic nature of the City. She <br />would like the City to take steps to ensure that Pleasanton retains the atmosphere of a <br />small town, taking steps to preserve buildings of that age in perpetuity. <br />Chairperson Roberts advised that the third pazagraph under "Youth Facilities and <br />Services" on page 10 should be changed to read as follows: "Chairperson Roberts <br />expressed surprise that the Youth Commission listed all recreational items and that there <br />were no arts or other types of items listed in the proposal for the General Plan Update <br />V,...A, T,f.,..+.... Dl..., » <br />max. <br />The minutes were approved as corrected. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO <br />ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS <br />NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA. <br />There were none. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Ms. Kline advised that Item 6.d., PDR-426, David Bo~stad, and Item 6.£, PUD-37, Ron <br />Winter, would be continued to the January 12, 2005 meeting. <br />Chairperson Roberts requested that Item 7 b. Discussion of Temnorarv and Permanent <br />Window Signs for Commercial Businesses be continued to a meeting after the holiday <br />season. <br />Commissioner Fox noted that she had received an e-mail from a resident and suggested <br />that the neighbors in California Reflections be notified of the window sign discussion <br />item because of their proximity to Stanley Business Park. <br />Ms. Nerland advised that the discussion addressed by this item was a Citywide issue. <br />She noted that it could be generally advertised in the newspaper as is done with other <br />Citywide items. <br />5.
