_ THE CITY OF <br />PL£~S~4NTONm <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />APPROVED <br />Wednesday, July 28, 2004 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of July 28, 2004, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br />Commissioner Arkin. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Staff Members Present: Jerry Iserson, Principal Planner; Lynn Tracy Nerland, <br />Assistant City Attorney; Rob Wilson, Director of Public <br />Works; George Thomas, Chief Building Official; and <br />Maria L. Hoey, Recording Secretary. <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Brian Arkin, Anne Fox, and Matt Sullivan. <br />Commissioners Absent: Commissioners Harvey Kameny, Trish Maas, and Mary <br />Roberts. <br />Ms. Nerland advised the Commission that based on the City Council rules which applies <br />to the Planning Commission, the Commissioners present need to determine who would <br />be the presiding officer in the absence of the Chair and Vice Chair. She added that it has <br />been a Planning Commission tradition to turn to the most recent past Chair, which would <br />be Commissioner Arkin, to chair the meeting. The other Commissioners agreed. <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. July 14, 2004. <br />Commissioner Fox stated that the first sentence of the second paragraph on page 5 should <br />be amended to read as follows: "Although she had not spoken with him, Commissioner <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES July 28, 2004 Page 1 of 19 <br />
