In response to an inquiry by Chairperson Roberts, Mr. Iserson stated that the house <br />designs would be addressed at the staff level when the PUDs were submitted. <br />Chairperson Roberts noted that the designs were highly environmentally sensitive and <br />believed that the Commission should see them. <br />Commissioner Kameny noted that he trusted staff s judgment regarding house designs. <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted that he could not make the General Plan finding and did <br />not believe that the ten-foot high retaining walls on Lots 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 would be <br />approved today. He did not believe those lots were consistent with the present General <br />Plan. <br />Commissioner Fox understood Commissioner Sullivan's concerns but believed that the <br />neighbors on those lots supported the retaining walls. <br />Commissioner Kameny moved to make the findings for the subdivision map as <br />listed on the staff report and June 9, 2004 staff memorandum and to approve <br />Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map 5904, subject to the conditions of approval as <br />listed on Exhibit B of the staff report, with the addition of a condition that the house <br />designs come before the Planning Commission for review and approval. <br />Commissioner Fox seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Fox, Kameny, Maas, and Roberts. <br />NOES: Commissioner Sullivan. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Arkin. <br />Resolution No. PC-2004-39 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br />The Planning Commission recessed for a break at 9:23 p.m. <br />Chairperson Roberts reconvened the meeting at 9:28 p.m. <br />e. Input Re¢ardina the Bernal Property Desien Competition Finalists' <br />Submitta-s <br />Wayne Rasmussen summazized the staff report and noted that a professional design <br />competition was held concurrent with an amateur competition. He noted that William <br />Liskamm, a San Francisco-based azchitect and environmental planner, was appointed to <br />coordinate the design competition. He noted that there were submissions from across the <br />country and overseas. He described the parameters of the competition and noted that the <br />comments on the designs were attached to the staff report.
