THE CITY OF <br />~~ <br />j~L£~S~4NTONm <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />GENERAL PLAN UPDATE <br />MINUTES <br />Wednesday, May 19, 2004 <br />7:00 p.m. <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />APPROVED <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairperson Roberts. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Staff Members Present: Brian W. Swift, Planning Director; and Maria L. Hoey, Recording <br />Secretary. <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Brian Arkin, Anne Fox, Trish Maas, Mazy <br />Roberts, and Matt Sullivan. <br />Commissioners Absent: Commissioner Harvey Kameny. <br />2. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FOR APRIL 22 2004 WORKSHOP <br />Chairperson Roberts stated that the second sentence of the first pazagraph on page 9 should be <br />revised to read as follows: "She pointed out that the only viable residential development for the <br />area would be TOD, that is, transfer oldevelonment rights in order to accommodate the number <br />of units and make the nroiect viable economically and that it would be necessary to extend <br />El Charro Road to Stanley Boulevazd for asmart-growth community in the azea." <br />Commissioner Fox stated that the following sentence be added before the last sentence of the <br />sixth paragraph on page 3: "She added that Livermore's Airport Master plan also discourages <br />residential building outside the current limits of the airport protection area." <br />The Minutes of the March 9, 2004 workshop were approved as corrected. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION GENERAL PLAN UPDATE MINUTES, 5/19/2004 Page 1 of 8 <br />
