MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />San Francisco Municipal Green Building Ordinance <br />Commissioner Sullivan stated that San Francisco has on its Monday, April 26, 2004, meeting <br />agenda a proposal to adopt the Municipal Green Building Ordinance for its City buildings. He <br />indicated that he would like to send a letter of support to adopt the ordinance and asked the <br />Commissioners if they wished to send the letter as a Commission. <br />Chairperson Roberts stated that time is limited and suggested that Commissioner Sullivan sign <br />the letter on behalf of the Commission. <br />Commissioner Sullivan moved to have the Commission sent a letter to the San Francisco <br />Board of Supervisors supporting its Municipal Green Building Ordinance. <br />Chairperson Fox seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Fox, Maas, Roberts, and Sullivan. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Kameny. <br />Livermore Aimort Expansion Committee <br />Commissioner Fox inquired what the composition of Pleasanton representatives and what <br />process the City would follow for appoint these representatives to the committee formed by the <br />Livermore City Council to discuss the Livermore Airport expansion. <br />Mr. Swift replied that Pleasanton's representatives to the committee would consist of one City <br />Council member, one pilot, one person from the business community, and one citizen at-large. <br />He added that appointments are generally made by the Mayor and ratified by the City Council. <br />California Splash <br />Commissioner Sullivan inquired how interested citizens could have access to the final conditions <br />of approval for monitoring the construction of California Splash and whom they should contact if <br />they had questions or complaints during its progress. <br />Mr. Swift stated that the conditions could be posted on the City's website for easy public access. <br />He added that citizens could also ask to see the final plan before building permits are issued and <br />react if they see something that is not being done right. Mr. Swift mentioned that the City <br />Council and the East Bay Regional Park District have put together an informal monitoring group <br />to interact directly with California Splash in the area during the construction stage. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION GENERAL PLAN UPDATE MINUTES, 4/22/2004 Page 10 of 11 <br />
