- Commissioner Fox moved to recommend adding replacement trees in the buffer <br />zone between Martin Avenue and the quarry, if Kaiser was not required to do so. <br />Commissioner Sullivan seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Fox, Maas, Roberts, and Sullivan <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Kameny. <br />The motion carried. <br />Commissioner Arkin moved to recommend approval of the mid-term CIP as <br />amended by the previous motions. <br />Chairperson Roberts seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Fox, Maas, Roberts, and Sullivan <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Kameny. <br />Resolution No. PC-2004-18 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br />Mr. Bocian advised that the speaker's comment with respect to the Happy Valley Bypass <br />Road was accurate that $500,000 would come from the City and $500,000 would come <br />from the developer. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />"Big Box" Stores <br />Commissioner Fox wished to note that at the time the item on "Big Boxes" was originally <br />discussed by the City Council with respect to the General Plan process, Kohl's was not <br />listed as the next-door tenant to that property. She noted that research showed that when <br />Kohl's and Wa1Mart were co-located on a site, most of the WalMarts did have substantial <br />grocery departments. <br />325 Rav Street Project <br />Commissioner Fox expressed concern about the packet prepazed for the Ray Street <br />_ development for the City Council.
