the death or injury of one person and Three HuA~dred Thousand l~oll~.rs (4300,000.00) for the death or injury ~o two or more persons in any one accident, and property damage insurance to the extent of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) upon eaci~ of tke trucks or other vehicles used by contractor in the carryin~ out of tile work called for in the contract; such insurance to cover both the Town of Pleasanton, the members of tlle City Council and its officers, employees and a~encies and the refuse collector, Section 8.07: Such contract shall in addition to all its other terms and provisions provide that for the exclusive [~rivilege in said contract granted the contr~.ctor, and in ~;ddition to any sum of money to be paid by said contractor under said contract to the Town of Pleasanton, such contractor shall by said contract agree to collect, remove and dispose of free of charg'e or payment therefor, for the Town of Pleasanton, any and all refuse, ,which the City Council or the Director of Public ~'orks may crater removed from any property o~.ned or occupied by the Town of Pleasanton, at such times and as often as may be ordered by either said City Council or said Director of Public Worlds · Section 8.08: Any contract existing between the Town of Pleasanton and any refuse collector at the adoption of this ordinance shall be governed by tlAis ordinance. Section 8.09: Before said contract shall be awarded sealed ~>roposals of bids shall be c~lled for, for the exclusive rig'ht of the collection, removal and disposal, in and from the Town of Pleasanton, of refuse as herein defined, according to this ordinance. Each pro~>osal shall include complete plans ~nd specifications of all equipment to be used. Section 8.10: Each proposal n~ust be signed by the bidder submitting it, and shall~ be acco~panied by a certified check in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) payable to !he Town of Pleasan'ton as a ~uarantee that the bidder will execute the contract in accordance with his bid. Upon the successful bidder filing a bond for the faithful performance of ];Te contract, the certified check for $1,000.00 shall be returned, Section 811: The term of such contract shall be for not more than five years from date of signing, and such term may be, on the petition of the refuse collector, extended at the discretion of the City Coancil for an additional period of time not exceeding five years. Section 9.00, VIOLATION ANID PENALTY. Section 9.01: Any person, firm, or corporation, violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exceedin~ Three Hundred Dollars (~300.00), or by impriso]~n~ent in the County Jail of the County of Al~a-neda, Sta%e of California, no% exceeding- six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment, and each day upon which a violation of this ordinance continues shall be deemed a separate offense hereunder and shall be punishable as such. -6-
