Exhibit A: Design Review Submittal, Including Site Plan, <br /> Landscape Plan, Building Elevations, Floor Plans, and photographs, <br /> dated August 17, 2004. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The Veterans Memorial Building is located at the northwest corner of Main Street and Old <br />Bernal Avenue in Downtown Pleasanton. The building was designed in 1932 by one of <br />Alameda County's most important architects in the first half of the century, Henry H. Meyers <br />and is one (1) of only ten (10) such buildings constructed in the County.
