l> L £ AS&NTON CityCouncil <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> March 1, 2005 <br /> Planning Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: PDR-402 <br />Applicant: City of Pleasanton <br />Property Owner: City of Pleasanton <br /> <br />Purpose: Application for design review approval to renovate the Veterans Memorial <br /> Building and for modification of the Master Plan for the Veterans <br /> Memorial Building to include a public restroom. <br /> <br />Location: 301 Main Street <br /> <br />General Plan: Retail, Highway, and Service Commercial; Business and Professional <br /> Offices <br /> <br />Zoning: O (Office) District; Downtown Revitalization District <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Adopt a resolution approving the design review application subject to <br /> conditions of the staff report, consider options regarding the proposed public <br /> restroom at the exterior of the facility, and, if it is determined to include the <br /> restroom, approve the modification to the Master Plan to allow a public <br /> restroom at the Veterans Memorial Building as designed. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: The City Council has previously directed staff to proceed with the <br /> renovation of the Veterans Memorial Building by authorizing a consultant <br /> contract for design services and by approving the Veterans Memorial <br /> Building Master Plan. The design plans are nearly complete, and the <br /> Planning Commission has approved the design review application for the <br /> renovation project. The matter is now coming to Council for its review and <br /> to consider modifying the Master Plan to include a public restroom at the <br /> exterior of the facility. <br /> <br /> SR:05:057 I <br /> <br /> <br />
