<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />Chair Barker questioned whether the City should be tied to another five years with both of these <br />Development Agreements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright motioned, seconded by Commissioner Cooper, finding that the proposed <br />Wells Fargo development agreement is in conformance with the General Plan. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Cooper, McGuirk, Lutz, Wright and Chair Barker <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC 96-91 was entered finding that the Wells Fargo development agreement is <br />in confonnance with the General Plan, as motioned. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright motioned, seconded by Commissioner Cooper, recommending approval <br />of the three agreements - the five year extension, reimbursement clarifications, and development <br />deferment agreement for Wells Fargo. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Cooper, Lutz, McGuirk, Wright and Chair Barker <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC 96-92 was entered approving the three development agreements for Wells <br />Fargo, as motioned. <br /> <br />Further discussion on the Taubman Development Agreement: <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright stated he has concern with adding more parking structures to the mall, <br />therefore, he cannot support the additional 222,000 square footage in development. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk sees Stoneridge as a regional shopping center benefiting Pleasanton. <br />Breaking up the additional 222,000 square feet in smaller pieces doesn't seem as bad as the whole. <br />He likes the parking structure that is partially hidden, but does not like the idea of a three story <br />parking structure. He feels Stoneridge needs to grow and develop as retail changes. It is a matter <br />of keeping up with the trend, so let's prepare for it now, He will support the agreement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cooper would rather have Taubman Company come back when they have something <br />more specific to be done with the 222,000 square feet.
