see the soundwalI come around the corner of the driveway and surround the tot lot.

.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS REOPENED

Ms. Utal advised that the original plan had a soundwall as indicated by Chair Barker. but staff
wanted to interchange the soundwall with wrought iron fencing. Ms. Utal would rather have the
soundwall.

PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED

Chair Barker would like to see a solid soundwall around the tot lot. With the parcel being on Santa
Rita, she would rather see a more centrally located community area to create more of a community
feel to the neighborhood. She would like to see the project redesigned putting the community space
in the center of the project. She supports the density of the project.

Commissioner Wright discussed some of the changes the Planning Commission made in 1991. The
Commission then discussed whether they should continue this application or motion for denial. Ms.
Utal is concerned regarding what direction to proceed with staff and still keep the price below
detached single family housing in the area. After much discussion, the suggestion was made that the
tot lot be moved closer to Building 8, eliminating as little parking as necessary, and surrounded with
soundwall.

Chair Barker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Lutz, making the PUD findings for the
proposed development plan for PUD-96-15.

.
