.

.

6. PUBLIC HEARINGS

.

a. PUD-80-16-12D. PEOPLESoft
Application for Planned Unit Development design review approval for the construction of an
approximately 67,500 square foot, two-story office building located at (11)1) Stoneridge Drive
(north side of Stoneridge Drive between Franklin Drive and Bradley Drive). Zoning for the
property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Industrial/Commercial-Office) District.

Me. Pavan presented the staff report on the application for a Planned Unit Development design
review approval for an approximately 67,500 sq. ft. two-story office building on a 4.31 acre site
located in the Signature Center Business Park. The building will be owned and operated by
PEOPLESoft and used for software development and customer training.

The project conforms to the site in terms of setbacks, height, and parking standards. Me. Pavan
advised the project does slightly exceed the maximum FAR; however, in light of the overall surplus
of floor area for the entire business park, staff feels the slight overage is acceptable.

The applicants have agreed to moving the entrance from Stoneridge Drive to Bradley Drive and to
including a revised reveal profile to the building design. It was also noted that the applicants have
read and agree with all the conditions of approval. No comments have been received from the
general public at this time. Staff recommends approval of Case PUD-80-16-12D, subject to the
conditions of approval in Exhibit B.

Commissioner Wright inquired if the amount traffic on Stoneridge would remain the same whether
the driveway was located on Stoneridge or Bradley. Me. Pavan concurred that it would.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED

Bob Giannini, 399 Bradford Street, Redwood City, is the project architects and is representing the
applicants. He advised that the applicants agree to the conditions of approval. There were no other
comments on this matter from the public, the Commissioners or staff.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED

Commissioner Wright stated he approves of the project color choices.

Commissioner Dove asked the applicants to review whether there is ample handicapped parking close
to the building entrances for visitors and employees.

Commissioner Wright motioned, seconded by Commissioner Dove, adopting a resolution
approving PUD-80-16-12D subject to Exhibit B: Draft Conditions of Approval.

ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Barker, Dove, Wright and Chairman Lutz
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioners Cooper and McGuirk
ABSTAIN: None

Planning Commission Minutes

Page 2

July 10, 1996
