.

.

.

Victoria Holt advised that she has complained to the tower many times over the years, and was
surprised to hear that there have been no complaints from the Somerset homes.

PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED

In response to Commissioner Dove, staff stated that the Draft EIR document is available at the
Planning Office and the library.

Commissioner Cooper understands the comments directed to the airport, though he believes the
people buying in this area should have been aware of the noise issues concerned with the airport.
He likes the idea of a sports park because there is a need for such a park, and he also likes the
restoration of the arroyos.

Commissioner Wright stated he thought the EIR addressed most of the concerns and feels the noise
and safety issues are adequately addressed.

Commissioner Barker commented that perhaps the City should address the road alignment with
Livermore staff. She would have liked to have seen buffering for the houses along the freeway.

7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

Commissioner Cooper inquired of staff when Foothill Road construction would be completed. He
feels the uneven road surface could be the cause of an accident. Mr. Higdon advised that staff tries
to monitor the on-going construction site daily, however, the City has limited control over the
completion date of private development. Mr. Higdon will advise the City inspectors of this concern.

Commissioner Wright commented that there will be a meeting at Amador High School regarding the
possibility of signalizing the school entrance. He inquired if this was initiated by the school or the
City.

Commissioner Dove asked about the topic of penalties for people who deliberately construct projects
(such as second units) without approval. Mr. Iserson noted it will be agendized at a future date.

8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW

a. Future Planninl!: Calendar

There were none.

b.
