CMA study scope called for the study to be completed in six months. The additional
work requested by the three cities will increase the time it takes to complete the study by
3 to 6 months.

FISCAL IMPACT

If approved, up to $75,000 budgeted for the Dougherty Valley Mitigation Reserve (CIP
025023) could be used to help fund the Tri-Valley Triangle Traffic Study, sponsored by
the CMA. The Dougherty Valley Mitigation Reserve funds are for the purpose of
mitigating traffic impacts for the new development, and the triangle study will help
identify priorities for the mitigation. The cities of Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin will
need to share the cost of this study in excess of the Congestion Management Agency's
budget of $400,000.

Respectfully Submitted,

Rob Wilson Susan Rossi Nelson Fialho
Director of Public Works Director of Finance City Manager

Attachment: Resolution

SR 05:050
