<br />APPROVED <br /> <br /> <br />t' <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br /> <br />Wednesday, December 10, 1997 <br />7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The Planning Commission meeting of December 10, 1997, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br />Chair Cooper. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> <br />1. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: <br /> <br />Jerry Iserson, Principal Planner; Greg Plucker, Associate Planner; <br />Roger Higdon, City Engineer; Sharon Piserchio, Recording <br />Secretary <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: <br /> <br />Commissioners Debra Barker, Jack Dove, Kris Kumaran, Harry <br />Lutz, Bob Wright, and Chair Cooper <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the November 12, 1997, meeting were approved with the following revisions: <br /> <br />Commissioner Kumaran amended page 12, paragraph 5, sentence 2, to read as follows: "He <br />commented that he tends to listen more closely to the residents of Pleasanton rather than the out- <br />of-area people in the audience because he wonders what their motive is." Under the same <br />paragraph, he amended sentence 4, to read as follows: "He expressed his concern that if the <br />ordinance is not passed, then the number of home firearms dealers may rapidly increase in <br />Pleasanton. .. <br /> <br />He also amended page 13, paragraph 1, sentence 1, to read as follows: "Commissioner <br />Kumaran reminded those present that firearms are weapons of destruction and all this ordinance <br />will do is prohibit their sale in residential areas." <br />
