MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S INFORMATION

Mr. Iserson stated that the Parks and Community Services Department is planning to
construct some downtown parks and trails. The City Council is appointing a task force to study
that issue and make recommendations. They have invited a member of the Planning
Commission to serve on the task force, but specified that the volunteer would be a non-voting
member. This is because the City Council wants to prevent a voting member of a Commission
from making a recommendation on a task force, only to have to vote on this same issue as a
Commissioner at a later time. Commissioner Barker volunteered and Mr. Iserson will notify
the City Council.

12."
