This exemntion <br />would allow the orocessinl! of an aoolication (PUD-81-30-70D) for a dav care on Chabot <br />Drive next to Arbv's restaurant without addinl!: the additional traffic of the dav care to <br />that which was anticipated in the Citv's traffic model for the determination of the Level <br />of Service at this intersection. <br /> <br />This item was continued to August 27, 1997. <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />a. Design Review Committee Survey Results <br /> <br />Chair Barker suggested that this item be continued to the August 27, 1997, meeting. <br /> <br />b. Election of Chair and Vice-Chair <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright elected Commissioner Cooper to serve as Chair, and <br />Commissioner Lutz to serve as Vice-Chair. Commissioner Lutz seconded the <br />motion for Chair, and amended the motion to elect Commissioner Kumaran as <br />Vice-Chair. <br /> <br />The motion carried, 5-0. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright advised that at the Reflections Drive/California intersection on Stanley <br />Boulevard (southwest of Valley) the red and yellow light are not operating, only the green arrow <br />functions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright noted that along Valley Avenue (west of where Crestline comes into Valley) <br />a pool contractor has installed a precast wall backwards with the unpainted side towards the street. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright reported that at the location of the Walgreen's remodel, the construction fence <br />and dumpster is blocking a traffic lane. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cooper asked that staff agendize an item to discuss a monitoring program for dust <br />control which is more quantitative than just visual. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kumaran advised that there is no stop sign at the exit of the parking lot for CompUSA <br />and In-N-Out Burgers. <br /> <br />Chair Barker advised that she plans on attending the CCAPA conference in Monterey. <br /> <br />8.
