pL£AS&NTON City Council <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> February 1, 2005 <br /> Deputy City Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) AND <br /> CONTRACT FOR REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY <br /> OF LIVERMORE, THE CITY OF DUBLIN AND THE ALAMEDA <br /> COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION <br /> DISTRICT ZONE 7 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING AND <br /> SHARING DIGITAL AERIAL ORTHOIMAGERY FOR THE <br /> LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON AREA <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action: <br /> <br /> A. Approve the memorandum of agreement (MOA) (Attachment A) <br /> between the City of Pleasanton, the City of Livermore, the City <br /> of Dublin and the Alameda County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation District Zone 7 (Zone 7) to jointly acquire and <br /> equally share costs to acquire digital aerial orthoimagery for <br /> their region. <br /> <br /> B. Approve the agreement for consulting services with HJW <br /> Geospatial, Inc., (Attachment B) to provide aerial <br /> orthophotography services of the City of Livermore, City of <br /> Dublin, Zone 7, and the City of Pleasanton. The total contract <br /> amount is $324,700 of which Pleasanton's share is $69,209.30. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: The City has been building and maintaining a digital basemap and database <br /> layers for its geographic information system (GIS) since 1989. The GIS <br /> database includes a coded parcel basemap, an address coded centerline <br /> map for pavement management and public safety, utility systems overlays,' <br /> and fire map book data.
