pL£AS&NTON city <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> February 1, 2005 <br /> Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR PHASE <br /> II IMPROVEMENTS TO THE INTERSECTION OF BERNAL <br /> AVENUE AND VINEYARD AVENUE INCLUDING TRAFFIC <br /> SIGNAL AND SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS, <br /> PROJECT NOS. 005029 & 902028A <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at <br /> the meeting of February 1, 2005: <br /> <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for <br /> the subject project. <br /> <br /> 3. Authorize final payment to Prism Engineering in the amount <br /> of $475. <br /> <br /> 4. Authorize payment of retention in the amount of $21,342.91 <br /> to Prism Engineering thirty days after filing the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: Construction of the subject project is complete and ready for <br /> acceptance. The Bernal Avenue and Vineyard Avenue Intersection <br /> was improved with the widened Vineyard Avenue and the modified <br /> traffic signal. As part of this project, sanitary sewer pipelines and <br /> appurtenant structures were constructed within the intersection in <br /> <br />SR 05:038 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
