The tasks include design work by LTD Engineering and work by our two subcontractors -
Balance Hydrologics performing hydraulic modeling and LSA Associates preparing revegetation plans.

Task I - Revise Hydraulic Modeling

Elimination of the diversion through the Applied BioSystems property changes the flow in the lower
reach of Mission Creek and the upper reach of Sycamore Creek. The HECRAS model will need to be
revised to reflect the changed flow conditions. The revised modeling will provide the hydraulic
information necessary to revise the grading plans so that sufficient capacity is provided for the 100-year
flow.

Task 2 - Revise Grading Plans for Mission Creek and Upper Sycamore Creek

The change in flow conditions along the lower reach of Mission Creek and the upper reach of
Sycamore Creek wilt require changes in the grading plans to make sure the channel contains the 100-
year flow without over[opping. The revegetation plans will need to be revised to correspond with the
revised grading plans.

Task 3 - Revise Grading Plans for Phased Construction

The City now plans to construct the project in at least three phases. This necessitates a revision to the
drawings and preparation of new drawings for interim construction to make sure flood flow capacity is
maintained before completion of the entire project. The revegetation plans will also need to be revised
to correspond with the revised grading plans. Eight new drawings are required as a result of this
change.

Task 4 - Revise Grading Plans to Avoid San Francisco Water Pipeline

The City's decision to eliminate grading along the reach of Sycamore Creek adjacent to the City of San
Francisco's water pipeline (between 1-680 and the wooden bridge west of 1-680) requires that we
prepare a new hydraulic analysis and grading plan for the reach. The revegetation plans will also need
to be revised to correspond with the revised grading plans. Four new drawings are required as a result
of this revision.

Task 5 - Coordinate Stream Channel Design with Bernal Park Plans

The City recently retained an architect to develop plans for the Bernal Park. The need to coordinate the
design with the park design architect has already required one meeting. Additional meetings, drawing
reproduction, drawing revisions and other work is anticipated during the process of developing pians for
the stream channel and treatment wetland that are compatible with the park design.

Task6 - Meetings

Additional meetings with City staff, developers and park architects will be required to coordinate the
various changes in the project design and the phasing of the construction. We assume that a
maximum of four future meetings will be required. If additional meetings are required, the budget will
need to be increased accordingly.
