<br />Gary Schwaegerle, 189 W. Angela, stated that reconsideration should be given to the use of this <br />property. He noted the need for a light rail station and that the Southern Pacific and Kaiser Sand and <br />~ Gravel lands could be paramount to the future of the City. <br /> <br />Derrick Dinelli, 3663 Reflections Drive, advised that he would rather see a self-storage facility than <br />a parking lot. He noted that the heritage trees are unhealthy and they should not be an obstacle to <br />having the entrance on Stanley Boulevard. He stated that the traffic calming device is absurd and that <br />it will not deter drivers. He commented that he doesn't see a large difference between this issue and <br />the issue regarding the use of the Bernal Adobe's impact on the Golden Eagle development. He <br />would like to see the entrance off of Stanley Boulevard pursued. He noted that the widening of <br />Stanley Boulevard is scheduled for 1998. He noted that this revision would be beneficial to the <br />commercial owner as well as to residents. <br /> <br />Suzanne Hagerty, 3848 Promenade Way, commented that she comes from a community where there <br />was no planning, and that she is concerned about this happening in Pleasanton. She advised that there <br />are a lot of children in the neighborhood and she is concerned about safety and noise. <br /> <br />Kathy Mitchell, 3634 Reflections Drive, stated that she is not opposed to the project if the entrance <br />is off of Stanley, but that she is completely opposed to any entrance off of Reflections Drive. <br /> <br />Carol Dinelli, 3663 Reflections Drive, expressed concern about the entrance to the facility being 100 <br />feet from residences and about child safety. She asked the Planning Commission to approve the <br />entrance on Stanley. <br /> <br />Wade Jackson, 3770 Reflections Drive, advised that he is not opposed to the project, but he is <br />opposed to the Reflections Drive address. He is concerned that drivers will see the street sign for <br />Reflections Drive west of the subdivision and enter the residential area. He feels the entrance to the <br />facility should be on Stanley Boulevard, and have a Stanley Boulevard address. <br /> <br />Cheryl Kagan, 87 Shore Drive, expressed concern about the children in the neighborhood. She stated <br />that it is currently a safe area for children because the drive are aware that children are playing and <br />they use caution when driving. She advised that the facility as proposed would disrupt the safety and <br />security of the neighborhood. She noted that she is not opposed to the project as long as it looks nice <br />and the entrance is off of Stanley Boulevard. <br /> <br />Shirley Perreira, 3618 Reflections Drive, stated her main objection is the entrance on Reflections <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Greg Carrolan, 337 Trenton Circle, advised that he is opposed to the development with access to his <br />community. He stated that the effects the facility will have on the community need to be considered. <br />He asked that the Planning Commission listen to the residents. <br /> <br />Chun W. Liu, 3786 Reflections Drive, advised that he agrees with the previous speakers, and supports <br />the idea of the entrance on Stanley. <br /> <br />Joseph Crisostomo, 3642 Reflections Drive, stated that he has young children and he is concerned <br />with the entrance on Reflections Drive.
